Are You Tired Of Renting?  Are you paying $500 - $700 monthly in rent?

Would You Like To Own Your Own Home?  Our homeownership program is available to eligible residents of Temple, Belton, Rogers and Cameron.  It may be able to assist you in owning your own home at a cost comparable to your monthly rental payment.

Are You Concerned About The Up-Front Costs (Downpayment And Closing Costs)?  Our program offers down payment assistance to help defray all or part of approved up-front costs.  The amount of assistance provided is up to $12,360.00 per approved applicant.  The assistance is in a form of a ten-year deferred, forgivable loan at zero percent interest. 

How Do You Qualify For This Program?   The gross annual income of your household must not exceed the income shown on the chart below.

If you do not exceed the maximum income listed above for your family size and if you have an acceptable credit history, you will be referred to a participating financial institution to determine the amount of mortgage loan for which you qualify.  You will then be referred to a participating builder to choose the house that best suits your financial and physical needs.

What Type Of House Is Being Constructed?   The houses in this program are of new construction and will generally range in size from 900 to 1150 square feet, 2 to 3 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms, central heating and air conditioning and have energy efficient components.  Homes are generally priced between the 60's to 80's.
