These are apartments for low-income families. The rents vary with unit size and are fixed at less than market rate.
Amenities. All units are wired for cable TV and telephones and have central heating and air conditioning. Water, sewer and trash removal are provided at no cost. The resident pays for electricity and gas (if applicable). A stove and refrigerator are furnished and washer/dryer connections are available in all units. Tembell Homes also offers a playground.
Section 8 vouchers are accepted.
Scattered Sites. In addition to Tembell and Carver Homes, the Housing Authority also has various single family and duplex units with fixed rents throughout the City of Temple. Amenities could vary per location.
Security Deposit.
- 1 Bedroom Apartments - $150.
- 2 Bedroom Apartments - $200.
- 3 Bedroom Apartments - $250.
Application. Applications may be picked up at the Housing Authority office at 700 West Calhoun Avenue, Temple, Texas 76501. The application fee is $25 (effective 8/2/2010).
