Do You Think Your Rent And Utilities Are Too High For Your Income? If you answered yes to this question, you may qualify for rental assistance from the Temple Housing Authority. We rent a number of housing units throughout the City of Temple to qualified applicants. How Much Is The Rent? Rent is based on your income. It will be 30% of your gross income (less allowable deductions). Am I Eligible For Housing? Eligibility is determined by income guidelines which are published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Since income guidelines change every year, please contact the office to see if you are eligible. Where Do I Apply? Applications are taken by personal interview at the Temple Housing Authority Office between the hours of 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. What Do I Bring To The Interview? Two references are required. Although landlord references are preferred, it is acceptable to furnish one landlord reference and one credit reference. You must provide your reference's name, address and telephone number plus rental address and dates of tenancy for landlord references and account numbers for credit references. Need Additional Information? Please call, write, visit, or email us for assistance. Location:
