Welcome to Belton Housing Authority!  Our spacious one, two, three and four bedroom floor plans, amenities, location (convenient to downtown Belton) and friendly staff make us the ideal place to call home.

Amenities.  In addition to a centrally located park and a newly remodeled Education and Activities Facility, our complex offers apartments that are energy efficient, cable TV ready, with many units offering central air and heat and washer/dryer connections, as well as outside storage. (Not all units are equipped with these amenities).  Additionally, we have several units that qualify for Section 8 assistance through the Central Texas Housing Assistance Program.  These units all offer central air and heat, washer/dryer connections and outside storage.

Apartment Rents.  156 of our 196 units base rent on your income, charging 30% of gross annual income (less allowable deductions).  Eligibility is determined by income guidelines which are published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and are updated annually.

Security Deposit.  A $150.00 security deposit will be required for all units.

Schools.  The apartment location determines the elementary or middle school your children would attend

  • Elementary Schools - Southwest, Tyler, Miller Heights and Leon Heights Elementary

  • Middle Schools - Lake Belton Middle School and Belton Middle School

  • High Schools - All students attend either Belton High School or Waskow High School

Where do I Apply?  Applications are taken by personal interview at the Belton Housing Authority office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

What do I Bring to the Interview?  Two references are required.  Although landlord references are preferred, it is acceptable to furnish one landlord reference and one credit reference.  You must provide your reference's name, address and telephone number plus rental address and dates of tenancy for landlord references and account numbers for credit references.  A picture identification for all adult members of your household, birth certificates and social security cards for all members of your household are also required.
